Most laser clients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable, but not painful. For sensitive facial and body areas, however, some people do ask for a topical anesthetic cream.

Most of our patients report a tolerable level of discomfort during the procedure, and usually no pain or a slight burning sensation for a few hours afterwards. For their comfort, patients are provided with a topical anesthetic cream which may be applied 60 minutes before the procedure.

Are Botox® Cosmetic treatments painful?

Delivered with a very small needle, discomfort is minimal and brief. Your physician may choose to use a local anesthetic cream or ice to minimize the discomfort. Once the injection is complete, there is usually no discomfort and there is no downtime.
