The world of television sports broadcasting is a fast-paced, unpredictable environment. I must clearly identify and report on the players, the actions and the numbers during the course of the game. Without clear vision, it would be impossible to do my job! I noticed my vision getting worse over time, but the thought of eye surgery made me extremely uneasy.
Choosing the best surgeon to remove my cataract was the most important step of the process. Once you meet Dr. Soscia, you just know he’s the right choice. He immediately put me at ease and told me to trust him and trust the process, which I did unconditionally. Dr. Soscia is exactly what you’d expect from a West Point cadet. He’s absolutely disciplined, organized and efficient.
It’s no surprise that cataract surgery with Dr. Soscia was well-organized, painless and precise. Everything went according to plan and my recovery was incredibly quick. It was an easy process for me; my wife and I even went out to breakfast right after! I now see better than I have in a very long time. I had astigmatism and myopia, which I dealt with my entire life. Since having surgery with Dr. Soscia, the difference has been remarkable.
Dr. Soscia truly cares about his patients and was in constant contact with me throughout my recovery, more than any other doctor I’ve had. When I talk about great players, I call them “3-S Men” – super – scintillating – sensational – and I’d utilize that description for Dr. Soscia without hesitation. If I were on TV I’d simply say, “Dr. Soscia is ‘Awesome Baby!’ with a capital A!”
