LASIK by Lahners
"My experience with Center for Sight and Dr. Lahners was exceptional. Not only in regards to enabling me to enjoy life without glasses, but also the total experience. The pre-examination was very thorough.
The Lasik surgery was completely painless and the following day, I was able
to see incredibly well without the use of my glasses. Once my eyes completely healed, after about a month, I was able to return to my favorite sports, barefoot water skiing and slalom skiing. It was incredible to be able to get out on the water and not need glasses and see everything that was going on.

"When I came home from Viet Nam in 1968 I hoped it would be my last war. Little did I know in the late 70s that the next war would last until 2006. You see Mother Nature declared War on me in the late 70s I was still flying helicopters when the military told me I needed corrective lenses (glasses) to continue flying. Mother Nature was taking my eye sight! I counter attacked nature with glasses to fly and contacts to read and the war settled down until the next skirmish in 2006. Everything was peaceful until Nature attacked again with cataracts. Nothing big mind you, but just enough to throw off my reading at SNN News 6, in Sarasota, Florida where I anchor the news. This time was different though. It was as if Nature had developed a secret weapon and attacked over a long period of time that I had not noticed. It was clearly a stealth attack.
My Ophthalmologist, Dr. Shoemaker told me we had gone as far as we could with my contacts, by now I was using mono vision, and glasses were out of the question on air. His strategy to defeat Nature in this 30 year old war was total annihilation! After two quick comfortable operations we wiped out Nature! Dr. Shoemaker removed my old worn out lens and replaced them with the new premium lenses. Not only could I see the teleprompter again but everything was brighter, more colorful and exciting, it was like I was seeing all over again for the first time. I can see to read the paper and have distance vision with no glasses and no contacts.
